How You Can Help
Through generous donations from contributors like you we can make a
difference in the lives of Haitian children and the future of Haitian
Society. There are many ways that you can help! It only costs $250 per
year to send a Haitian child to school. This gives hope not only to the
child but to the entire family. You can help by:
- Sponsorship
You can sponsor a specific child for one year for just $250.
- Donations
We greatly appreciate monetary donation of ANY amount. Your donation will go towards funding the schooling of children that do not have a sponsor, schooling of additional children that we have not yet identified on the website, or towards the funding of our future goal to build a school in Haiti.
- Raise awareness
Share our website with friends, family, and co-workers. Encourage them to learn about Haiti and how they can make a difference.
- Fundraising
Feel free to be creative! Recently 2 Boy Scouts decided to make Haitian Roots their Eagle Scout project. They put together a yard sale and raised over $2,000 for Haitian Roots. Please contact us for more information.
Sponsor A Child Today!
We sincerely appreciate your interest in donating or sponsoring one of our children. As a sponsor, you will receive periodic email updates on the progress of the child. We believe that one of the most enjoyable aspects of our program is seeing the happiness and growth of all of our children (and their families) as they learn and grow. As part of our program, each of our sponsored children are required to write periodic letters updating us on their progress. We translate these letters and then forward them on to you. We feel it's one of those small things that really make this work all worthwhile.
